Over 100 New Medical Students to Receive White Coats Friday, October 9, 2015 at 1:30 p.m.

 

The Hofstra North Shore-LIJ School of Medicine will present traditional white coats to 102 first-year medical students at a special ceremony on October 9, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. in the John Cranford Adams Playhouse located on the south campus of Hofstra University.

The White Coat Ceremony is a rite of passage that marks the beginning of a student’s transition from person to medical professional.  The Class of 2019 at the School of Medicine represents all socio-economic backgrounds and walks of life, including career changers and newcomers to both med school and parenthood.
