The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is committed to providing the highest standard of care for our patients and their families. As leaders in clinical care, patient safety and quality measures, our clinical teams utilize the latest and most innovative resources available to provide patients with the highest level of quality care, all with a focus on patient safety and quality outcomes.
With performance of over 26,000 deliveries per year and over 17,000 gynecologic surgeries, the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is the one of the busiest in all of New York State. Our network includes two Regional Perinatal Transport Centers. In addition, we offer areas of specialization which include: Maternal Fetal Medicine, Gynecologic Oncology, Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery, Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery, as well as Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology.
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology has led national teams in the reduction of maternal mortality, as well as in the development and adoption of patient safety protocols. In addition, our subspecialty physicians are established national experts, and have instituted three specialty fellowship programs to complement the Departments’ strong residency program.
