The Medical Library is open to all staff and physicians with an NSLIJHS ID as well as students and faculty of the School of Medicine. The Library provides access to over 4,500 journals, 4,000 books, and 420 media programs. Library staff conduct customized training courses on literature searching, specialized databases, evidence based medicine and other topics.

The Health Sciences Library is an integrated system that includes libraries at the Long Island Jewish (LIJ) Medical Center and The Zucker Hillside Hospitals. The LIJ Library includes an extensive collection in pediatrics to support the Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children's Medical Center. The Zucker Hillside Library maintains a comprehensive collection in psychiatry and psychology. Students and faculty have full access to all collections and services of the libraries. The libraries are open to the public and reference service is provided on consumer health topics. The Cohen Children's Medical Center has a Family Resource Center on site for health information for patients and families.
