Department of Occupational Medicine, Epidemiology and Prevention

The overall mission of the Department of Occupational Medicine, Epidemiology and Prevention is to provide, understand and prevent diseases through exemplary patient care and innovative population-based research, with a special interest on exposure-based conditions.


The Department is staffed by faculty with a variety of specialties, physicians board-certified in Occupational Medicine, and researchers focused on the three pillars of the department: Occupational Medicine, Epidemiology and Prevention. The Department has three Occupational Medicine clinic locations, and is home to the federally funded Queens World Trade Center Health Program.
