The Joint School of Medicine Board(SOM Board) is delegated the ongoing management of the partnership between Hofstra University and Northwell Health in the operation of the Zucker School of Medicine. The SOM Board consists of equal representation from Hofstra and Northwell, and the membership of the SOM Board is updated annually by election. The SOM Board meets three times per year and is responsible for reviewing the policies, joint appointments, budgets, and all other matters that affect teaching and research at the School of Medicine.
