Say Hello to Eloise Summa, Events Coordinator
Tell us a little about yourself...elevator pitch style!
Hi! My name is Eloise and I'm super excited to start work at the Zucker School of Medicine! I got my degree in Hospitality Management and if I could go back to school for anything, it would be to get a degree in Library Sciences. In my free time, I love to experiment in the kitchen (I love to cook & bake!), read, listen to music (I collect physical media!), and play with my two cats, Dove & Pasquale. I just moved back here after living in Florida for a while and I'm excited for a true New York fall (not so much winter).
Fun Fact Unique To You
I went to the premiere of Ratatouille in 2007 because I was living in California at the time.
Favorite TV Show/Movie/Book
My all-time favorite movie is The Devil Wears Prada. I rewatch the same couple of "comfort" TV shows, but my current favorite is Gilmore Girls (it's fall, after all). My favorite book changes all the time, but right now it's "Daisy Jones & The Six" by Taylor Jenkins Reid.
Tell Us Your Favorite Hobbies or a To-Do on Your Bucket List
My favorite hobby is crafting, although I have a zillion unfinished projects at all times. Right now, I'm working on a scrapbook, a t-shirt quilt, and knitting my friend Christmas stockings.
What brought you to the Zucker School of Medicine and the world of higher education?
The medical field was always something that deeply interested me, but after an internship, I realized I wasn't cut out for that world. However, my curiosity never died, so when I saw the opportunity to work events at a medical school, it felt like the best of both worlds!
