Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell offers the opportunity for highly qualified applicants, who are certain that the Zucker School of Medicine is their first choice, to apply through the Early Decision Program (EDP). Under the EDP, applicants may only apply to Zucker School of Medicine. Requirements for early decision are the same as those for the regular admissions process, including the completion of the CASPer exam (the final test date to be eligible for the 2025 EDP is TBD) :

  • All application materials, including a completed AMCAS application, and all secondary materials must be received by August 1.
  • If invited to interview, the virtual interview will be conducted in mid-August.
    • If not selected for an interview, applicants will be notified at this time and will be able to apply to other institutions.
  • Final admissions decisions will be sent by September 1.

Applicants who are offered acceptance must attend Zucker School of Medicine.  Those applicants who are not accepted under the EDP will automatically be considered with the regular applicant pool and may then apply to other institutions.
