Through both internal and external efforts, the Office of Communications seeks to advance the mission of the Zucker School of Medicine by raising awareness of our growth and influence in academia, sharing relevant Zucker School of Medicine stories, highlighting faculty contributions and expertise, and celebrating the milestones and experiences of faculty, staff and students.
Key responsibilities include
- Facilitate all internal (faculty, students, and staff) and external communications efforts
- Collaborate with the media to secure press coverage, build relationships and promote the Zucker School of Medicine in the news
- Initiate and respond to media interviews, inquiries and requests with our diverse experts
- Share impactful, relevant and meaningful stories with our community by updating our School of Medicine website and newsroom
- Facilitating interviews with our diverse experts
- Collaborate with the departments across the Zucker School of Medicine to promote our successes, dynamic events, innovative curriculum, groundbreaking research and other meaningful stories.
- Serve as the creative hub for all Zucker School of Medicine publications
- Chronicle our faculty, student, staff and school achievements via print, digital, web, and social media channels
Our Services
Communications
Storytelling helps foster connectivity, conversation, and collaboration. We are here to help you tell your story and get your message out to the appropriate audiences. We'll work with you to craft and deliver your communication to internal and/or external audiences through various channels and tools.
Web Services
We assist with the maintenance of the Zucker School of Medicine website and newsroom, keeping all the pages on both of the sites up to date with fresh, relevant and new content
Hofstra Creative Services
We work closely with the Creative Services team at Hofstra University to produce brochures, catalogs, flyers, posters and more. We also work with their team to help provide photography coverage at your events. There may be a cost involved, depending on your needs
Social Media
Get connected with us! We are on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Threads and TikTok! Through these channels, we assist with event promotion, faculty, staff and student recognitions/awards, and most importantly, support and promote the mission, vision, and values of the Zucker School of Medicine
