Faculty Development Series for Clinical Preceptors in ICE/ACE: Utilize skills to teach your learners, obtaining more CME credits and potential MOC credit throughout the academic year.

Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this session, participants should be able to:

  • Enhance skills to teach students effectively while seeing patients. 
  • Understand the importance of precepting each patient with medical students
  • Summarize factors that contribute to effective coaching and feedback

Joint Accreditation Statement:

In support of improving patient care, Northwell Health is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Credit Designations:
•    Physicians 
Northwell Health designates this live activity for a maximum of 2 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ per 1 hour of interaction with medical students and/or residents/fellows. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

MOC Designations:         
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to:
 112 medical knowledge MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program; and
80 MOC points in the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program.

It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
