1. Q. Is grant writing required during PhD years?
A. While grant writing is not required, it is strongly suggested, encouraged, and supported.
2. Q. What is the current stipend amount for PhD students?
A. Accepted MD/PhD students are awarded a scholarship to cover full tuition and fee expenses and are paid a $40,000 stipend annually ($20,000 per semester).
3. Q. Is there a rotation program in the first couple of years in the program?
A. PhD students complete lab rotations during the beginning of their first year in the program. While most students complete two rotations, students are welcome to complete more if they have not found a lab that matches their areas of interest.
